Today we celebrate the solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity.
After the Easter season, after having relived the event of Pentecost, which renews the baptism of the Church in the Holy Spirit, we turn our gaze to the mystery of God, one in substance and triune in persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
In the first reading, taken from the Book of Proverbs, Wisdom enters the scene, standing beside God as a helper, as a builder (Prov 8:30). Wisdom herself confesses: “She played with the ball of the earth, she rejoiced with the sons of men” (Prov 8:31). Wisdom delights in dwelling among human beings, because in them she recognizes the image and likeness of the Creator. The Wisdom of God is manifested in the cosmos, in the variety and beauty of its elements, but His masterpiece, in which His beauty and greatness is truly revealed, are us as the people of God.
Through Christ, the Spirit of God reaches us as the beginning of a new and holy life. The Spirit places the love of God in the hearts of believers, in the concrete form it had in the man Jesus of Nazareth. Let us give thanks to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the one God who loves us and leads us to perfect union with Him.

Celebramos hoy la solemnidad de la Santísima Trinidad.
Después del tiempo pascual, después de haber revivido el acontecimiento de Pentecostés, que renueva el bautismo de la iglesia en el Espíritu Santo, dirigimos la mirada al misterio de Dios, uno en la sustancia y trino en las personas: Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo.
En la primera lectura, tomada del libro de los Proverbios, entra en escena la Sabiduría, que está junto a Dios como asistente, como arquitecto (Prov 8,30). La Sabiduría misma confiesa: “Jugaba con la bola de la tierra, gozaba con los hijos de los hombres” (Prov 8,31). Le complace habitar en medio de los seres humanos, porque en ellos reconoce la imagen y la semejanza del Creador. La Sabiduría de Dios se manifiesta en el cosmos, en la variedad y belleza de sus elementos, pero sus obras maestras, en las que realmente se muestra mucho más su belleza y su grandeza, somos nosotros como pueblo de Dios.
Por Cristo el Espíritu de Dios llega a nosotros como principio de vida nueva, santa. El Espíritu pone el amor de Dios en el corazón de los creyentes, en la forma concreta que tenía en el hombre Jesús de Nazaret. Demos gracias al Padre, al Hijo y al Espíritu Santo, Dios uno que nos ama y que nos lleva a la unión perfecta con El.

The Holy See has granted the Denver Cathedral the right to open its doors to hope, as in Rome, to help those unable to attend the pilgrimage to Italy. Fr Julio will celebrate mass at the Cathedral of Basilica of the Immaculate Conception on July 19th at 10:00 am to receive the plenary indulgence offered by the Pope. We invite all parishioners to participate. Save the date!
La Santa Sede ha concedido a la Catedral de Denver el derecho de abrir sus puertas a la esperanza, como en Roma, para ayudar a quienes no puedan asistir a la peregrinación a Italia. The charismatic group of our parish organized the event of the celebration of Pentecost - "Jesus Source of Life". The celebration was very well attended.

On June 22nd, we celebrate the Feast of Corpus Christi, honoring the Body, Soul, and Divinity of Christ. To register, please complete a registration form, pay the $40 book fee and provide a copy of your child’s baptism certificate, if your child is not baptized, a birth certificate is required.
Parent participation, parents are required to attend parent classes or volunteer in the classrooms part of the program. Registration forms are available at the Parish Life Center.

Food drives help to reduce cost and provide meals to hundreds of families. The St. Augustine Food Pantry is currently serving 250 households a week which equates to over 800 unique individuals.
