Dear Parishioners,

In the Palm Sunday procession, we join the multitude of disciples who, with great joy, accompany the Lord in his entry into Jerusalem. Like them, we praise the Lord, acclaiming all the wonders we have seen.
 
Yes, we too have seen and still see the wonders of Christ: how he leads men and women to renounce the comforts of their lives and place themselves totally at the service of those who suffer; how he gives men and women the courage to oppose violence and lies, to spread the truth in the world; how, in secret, he leads men and women to do good to others, to bring about reconciliation where there was hatred, to create peace where enmity reigned; how Jesus Christ enters Jerusalem to destroy our death and find us in the resurrection.
 
The procession is, above all, a joyful witness we bear to Jesus Christ, in whom the face of God has been made visible to us and through whom the heart of God has been opened to all of us. In the Gospel of Saint Luke, the account of the beginning near Jerusalem is partly composed, literally, according to the model of the coronation rite with which, as the First Book of Kings tells us, Solomon was invested as heir to David's kingship (cf. 1 Kings 1:33-35). Thus, the Palm Sunday procession is also a procession of Christ the King: we profess the kingship of Jesus Christ, we recognize Jesus as the Son of David, the true Solomon, the King of peace and justice. Let us ask the Lord to grant us a blessed Holy Week.

Queridos Parroquianos,

En la procesión del domingo de Ramos nos unimos a la multitud de los discípulos que, con gran alegría, acompañan al Señor en su entrada en Jerusalén. Como ellos, alabamos al Señor aclamando por todos los prodigios que hemos visto.

Sí, también nosotros hemos visto y vemos todavía ahora los prodigios de Cristo: cómo lleva a hombres y mujeres a renunciar a las comodidades de su vida y a ponerse totalmente al servicio de los que sufren; cómo da a hombres y mujeres la valentía para oponerse a la violencia y a la mentira, para difundir en el mundo la verdad; cómo, en secreto, induce a hombres y mujeres a hacer el bien a los demás, a suscitar la reconciliación donde había odio, a crear la paz donde reinaba la enemistad; como Jesucristo entra en Jerusalén para destruir nuestra muerte y encontrar la resurrección.

La procesión es, ante todo, un testimonio gozoso que damos de Jesucristo, en el que se nos ha hecho visible el rostro de Dios y gracias al cual el corazón de Dios se nos ha abierto a todos. En el evangelio de san Lucas, la narración del inicio cerca de Jerusalén está compuesta en parte, literalmente, según el modelo del rito de coronación con el que, como dice el primer libro de los Reyes, Salomón fue revestido como heredero de la realeza de David (cf. 1 Re 1,33-35). Así, la procesión de Ramos es también una procesión de Cristo Rey: profesamos la realeza de Jesucristo, reconocemos a Jesús como el Hijo de David, el verdadero Salomón, el Rey de la paz y de la justicia. Pidamos al Señor que nos conceda vivir una bendita Semana Santa.

On April 03, 2025, our parish united for a DAY of PRAYER at Planned Parenthood, igniting hope during the 40 DAYS FOR LIFE campaign. Father Julio led a moving mass at noon. Together, we lifted our voices in prayer for unborn babies, their mothers, and women wounded by the act of abortion.

El 3 de Abril de 2025, nuestra parroquia se unió para un DÍA DE ORACIÓN en Planned Parenthood, infundiendo esperanza durante la campaña 40 DÍAS POR LA VIDA. El Padre Julio ofició una emotiva misa al mediodía. Juntos, elevamos nuestras voces en oración por los bebés no nacidos, sus madres y las mujeres afectadas por el aborto.
