Dear Parishioners,
The time of Lent is presented to us as an aid to encounter Jesus Christ. Today’s Gospel tells us how Jesus, led by the Holy Spirit, goes into the desert. It is in the desert that the devil tempts the Lord three times. The temptations of Christ are also our temptations. The first temptation of the bread tells us of our temptations to secure our life. The second temptation is an invitation not to accept our weaknesses and the human history that has been given to us. The third temptation wants to make us subjects of Satan.
How can we respond to these temptations? Through a path of conversion that leads us to happiness and the promises of the kingdom.
In this way, I invite you to come to the LENTEN MISSION THAT WILL BEGIN ON MONDAY, MARCH 10 AT 8PM IN THE PLC. I pray that we can all take advantage of this wonderful moment of conversion and experience together the resurrection in Christ.

El tiempo de Cuaresma se nos presenta como una ayuda para encontrarnos con Jesucristo. El Evangelio de hoy nos habla de cómo Jesús llevado por el Espíritu Santo se va al desierto. Es en el desierto donde el demonio tienta tres veces al Señor. La primera tentación del pan nos habla de nuestras tentaciones para asegurar nuestra vida. La segunda tentación es una invitación a no aceptar la pobreza y la historia humana que se nos ha dado. La tercera tentación quiere hacer de nosotros súbditos de Satanás.
¿Cómo podemos responder a estas tentaciones? A través de un camino de conversión que nos lleve a la felicidad y a las promesas del reino.
De esta manera les invito a venir a la MISIÓN DE CUARESMA QUE COMENZARÁ EL LUNES 10 DE MARZO A LAS 8PM EN EL PLC. Rezo para que todos podamos aprovecharnos de este momento tan maravilloso.

We have a goal of praying 3,500 rosaries for the unborn, their mothers and women who have had an abortion. Beginning March 5th, if each person can pray a rosary daily for these intentions we can achieve this goal. Boxes will be provided in the church and adoration chapel where you can report the number of rosaries you have prayed. We will log them in and keep you posted as to progress toward our goal.
Tenemos la meta de rezar 3,500 rosarios por los no nacidos, sus madres y las mujeres que han tenido un aborto. A partir del 5 de Marzo, si cada persona puede rezar un rosario diario por estas intenciones, podremos lograr esta meta. Se proporcionarán cajas en la iglesia y en la capilla de adoración donde podrá informar el número de rosarios que ha rezado. Los registraremos y le mantendremos informado sobre el progreso hacia nuestra meta.
